Abscond with Me (NaPoWriMo #20)
Abscond with Me (NaPoWriMo #20)
Abscond upwind, my Beloved,
A miraculous endeavor
To gaze within your eyes
And feel the warmth of your hand,
To gather you into my arms,
Oh what a day!
No rodomontade!
A day I would never squander,
Even in most dunderhead moments
I will focus my cyclops windows
Towards the flights of the owl~
A wisdom nonpareil,
A Love twice elusive,
Yet Mercurial beats swim,
Swim forever infinite
For you and the willowy svelte
Of your dreams and desires.
I cannot bear the thought
Of Life curled in the gutter
From the loss of Love’s salt,
An artillery to the soul.
Bilious ghosts of failure
Creep within any ego
To truffle the quahog~
I mean trifle with a generator
For cowbid seaweed cheese…
No, no, no!
My Adored one,
What I meant to expound,
Abscond with me
To the depths of His Heart,
His Love and Grace,
For within such parameters
Two stay one, so Miraculous.

Take a Notch Back (NaPoWriMo #13)
Take a Notch Back (NaPoWriMo #13)
Honesty policies hard pills to swallow,
Shake my head a new day to follow
Upon the stress and worry
With a gentle walk
To the Church on Center Street,
My Church, yes My Church!
A little job to be done~
Clear out a shed
For a new Freezer instead.
Odds and Ends to the trailer,
Old plywood too,
Paint cans in the truck bed
Old concrete broke, in too
Many pieces
A small shovel needed,
Yet still the sweep out
And blower to finish
Completes the job
In two hour time!
Sweat pores pour,
While a miracle opportunity
Comes to life
And I…
I get lost in wonder
Within the thoughts
To Take a Notch Back
From the Honesty Blues
On my walk from Magnolia to Center.

Heart Exclamation (NaPoWriMo #11)
Heart Exclamation (NaPoWriMo #11)
Heart Exclamation~
A curious sound indeed,
Cessation to thee
For a moment of minutes
When vibrations strengthen us.
Oh Adoration~
A Father who Loves me, you
And upon our lives
He speaks articulation
From creation to creation.
So listen close, friend~
No matter the darkness, no fear,
No worry, none for
The God of Angel Armies
Gives your Heart Exclamation!

Farewell Self (NaPoWriMo #6)
Farewell Self (NaPoWriMo #6)
Many a moon and you took over,
Whiny, Needy
And I bought your lies,
But no more~
NO MORE!
Do you hear me?
Do you understand self?
I put my foot down
And declare,
“The days of your reign
End today!
I cannot live a lie,
I cannot live with my self
To death with you!
I have a life to live~
A life for my Creator
For others, family and friends,
For strangers every which way!
I can no longer live with you
Alone
With fear
I’m done.
I will not fight you any longer.
I Am Stronger!
Now, I know who I am
In Christ, in His Hands
And I will not go back
To you, selfish ways,
Nor will I sell fish
Don’t play games with my words!
Haha I see you
I do Love you self
For He encouraged such,
But I cannot live with you,
I cannot allow the distaste
So I paste you to the Cross
~Farewell self~
I will walk away free,
Yes, F.R.E.E!
I Love Papa too much,
Need the fresh air,
And now she fills my heart too,
So I will serve her!
Farewell self!
I’m on a New Adventure
In search of Love’s Treasures!”

Very Little Gravitas Indeed (NaPoWriMo #4)
Very Little Gravitas Indeed
Formality blues
Dispensational clues
An appearance of Oranges
To Apples
Grapples with Truth
Uncouth Ambience
From your Onslaught
Of awkward exigencies
Within your Liable liabilities
Along the shores of our hostilities~
Aye, very little Gravitas Indeed
To shun Apocalyptic Mead
And lay down our gunboat needs
To shout out Among trees
“Ahoy, Peace at last!
Peace at last!
Lay down your matches
Axes and more
For the wind chimes
Echo sentiments galore
Upon your Little Gravitas Shore!”

Mid-Shower (NaPoWriMo2013 #3)
Mid-Shower (NaPoWriMo #3)
A workout and run,
Then a little clean time fun;
Oh, how one sweats
And the heart bets
On the time to Breathe~
A garland, a wreathe,
So, the house still and quiet;
I pet the bird, just try it!
Now, onward to the shower
And smell better than a flower,
But wait Mid-Shower
And in slow-mo, no more power!
What the!? Creepy!
Even more quiet ~ the house sleepy!
The simple times to clean in the dark,
At least no worries of a shark.

I Am NOT A Statistic!
I Am NOT A Statistic
Petty labelsStereotypes tooYou house me in your boxesAnd I’m so through!I Stand today to say:”I Am NOT A Statistic! Not a number or themeFor your category schemes!Thematic Names ScreamScream to the lies of your words!I Am NOT A Statistic! Not 99 percent, 1 percentOr any number in between!Don’t even try to say I’m a numberFor I am a human, homo-sapien I stand,TWO eyes, a nose, a mouth,Truth be told a FACEAnd where faces stand concernedI shall NOT be categorized by you!Statistics level insults on us all~Only 25 percent casualties?Only 43 percent burned?Only, only, just only!I LOATHE your systematic approachTo label anyone and everyoneBy your “scientific” brooch! You leave no room for the individual,The uniqueness by which we all can attainClaim and nameBut no, you want your power,Your greed of all things!Well, I must burst your bubble,For all over the world,I have met your “statistics”Those you say rest more prone for poverty,Those more susceptible to diseaseOr shipment to your Dark-funnels of greed!Let me tell you what I saw~I saw a father, no food in days,Just so his children and wife could live;I saw a mother give her life on the streets,Just so her baby boy could survive;I saw children sacrifice their hearts,So younger ones could breathe;I saw faces and dreams more powerful than the wind,Fight in horrid conditionsTo breathe another day!I didn’t see your numbers and signs,Nor your statistical overtures that bind! So, I must scream a good scream…I AM NOT A STATISTIC!And I Am DONE with your time!~By: A.J. Write a poem a day in April
April, known as National Poetry Writing Month and well for 2013 I shall take the leap into the unknown to write 30 (yes, THIRTY) poems in thirty days and post them on my blog!
So, to do such a feat, ‘Tuesday’s Tip Jar’ AND ‘Thursday’s Treasures’ will take a break for the month of April. Also, I do not get on my computer at all on Sundays; however, I am still online a little past Midnight every Saturday, in which case I will post each Sunday poem super early for NaPoWriMo.
I look forward to the challenge, especially with all of the possibilities on the way, i.e. visit with my Lady and the possible departure to teach English in South Korea.
With all of this said, tomorrow starts April and the FUN of NaPoWriMo!
Maybe you will take the challenge with me and write a poem everyday for a month? Eh? You know you want to!
Blessings to you all! Cheers!
Oh, and Happy Resurrection Day! The Tomb lies empty and the King of Kings walks ALIVE!!
