Lifestyle of Love
Love in two directions,
Vertical and horizontal:
Love your Father above,
Then love everyone else, vital.
No more struggle to walk in love.
Do not strive and perform–
Leads to frustration of failure,
Not the steadiness through the storm.
Look to the prerequisites–
Before we move in a lifestyle of love–
“We love Him, because He first loved us,”
A holy example from above.
You see, we must receive His outflow,
Until then we will love in shadow–
The grayness of a word’s impact,
When we fail to accept His inflow.
Please, begin to understand: the Father LOVES you,
And learn to receive such a love
For a firm foundation without the hassle
To try and make God consider us enough.
He claims you, oh Sons and Daughters of the Most High,
With an unconditional beat of His heart,
He asks for not a single thing–
‘No Conditions’ reads the label from start.
Oh how will you see?
He chose to love you,
And act in love toward you–
You have no influence in the matter, ’tis true!
Yes again, He LOVES you no matter what,
So let grace descend, a gentle dove,
And grant you peace unthinkable
As you begin a new lifestyle of love.
